Why Keonte?

A Perspective You Won’t Find Anywhere Else

You can hire many speakers who talk about leadership, culture, or engagement. But here’s why companies choose Keonte.

He’s Lived The

Alternative

Keonte doesn’t teach mentorship theory. He teaches mentorship survival. He’s seen firsthand in his own life and community what happens when mentorship exists versus when it doesn’t. That urgency, that purpose, that understanding? You can’t learn it from a business book. You live it or you don’t.

He Teaches

This to Children

And before you think that’s a weakness, it’s his superpower. Keonte has mastered the art of taking complex concepts about identity, gifts, diversity, and mentorship and making them simple, memorable, and actionable. He brings that same clarity to corporate settings, just with deeper dives into inclusion, growth, and legacy.

He’s Building This

While He Teaches It

Keonte’s work with children, educators, and communities isn’t separate from corporate speaking, it’s the foundation. Every principle he shares with your team has been tested in real-world scenarios where the stakes are someone’s future.

The “Passing the Torch” Keynote Experience

What Your Team Will Feel

Connected

They’ll see themselves in the stories and struggles. Stories that resonate across every role and level. Keonte’s message meets you where you are.

Challenged

They’ll question assumptions about mentorship, leadership, and legacy

Empowered

They’ll leave knowing they can be both mentor and mentee. Succession isn’t about replacing people. It’s about building leaders at every level who carry forward knowledge, values, and vision.

Hopeful

Keonte equips teams with practical methods to identify and celebrate individual gifts, foster cross-cultural mentorship, and shift from competition to collaboration.

What Your Team Will Gain

A New Lens on Mentorship

Stop thinking programs. Start thinking about culture. Learn how to embed mentorship into the DNA of your organization, so it becomes self-sustaining.

The Power of Celebrating Gifts

Discover how recognizing and celebrating each person’s unique strengths transforms competition into collaboration and creates psychological safety for growth.

The Inner Child in Leadership

Understand how connecting with our core selves, our “inner child”, creates more authentic, empathetic, and effective leaders who inspire the next generation.

From Me to We

Shift from “what’s in it for me” to “what legacy are we building together.” This mindset change ripples through every interaction, decision, and relationship in your organization.

I Know The Struggle,

I Have The Solution

Succession Planning Without a Real Strategy

Key leaders will retire or move on, but there’s no clear plan for who will carry forward their knowledge and leadership.

Mentorship Programs That Don’t Stick

Initiatives work for a while, but once the program ends, so does the impact. Mentorship feels like an extra task, not a core value.

Leaders Who Feel Like They’re Giving Without Receiving

Experienced people hesitate to mentor because it feels like giving away expertise without personal benefit.

Shift mentorship from program to culture. Make it embedded, sustainable, and two-way.

Keonté is not just a performer; he's a beacon of positivity and self-acceptance. He brought an unforgettable experience to our club with his presentation, sharing his inspiring children's book "I Am Perfectly Me". His storytelling resonated with our club kids, spreading messages of empowerment and self-acceptance. Beyond words, the songs he shared added another layer of magic to the event, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present. His visit was truly memorable, leaving our club kids uplifted and empowered, proof of that was seen when all of our children surrounded him for his autograph at the end of the presentation.

The Halifax Public Libraries' Preston Township Office hosted multi-talented R&B singer and author Keonté Beals Feb. 13 at the North Preston Community Centre in a wonderful program about his background and process writing his own books and music, ending in a fun mini-concert. We particularly enjoyed the sensory experience of seeing the visuals of Keonté's books and artwork projected on the screen as he read the stories or sang songs. At the North Preston Community Centre, our staff invited the local Nelson Whynder Elementary School students to come. We had a huge turnout of 120 people! We held the program in the gym so there was plenty of space. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying and being inspired by their hometown author/artist/musician. At the end of the program, Keonté invited the children to dance around, which was a joyful experience and lovely to see. I will copy my colleague, Renise, who helped host the program, to see if she has any other parts to add! Thank you, Ashlee
